I bought my 1987 Volvo from a woman in Atlanta in 2001. She had good experiences with Volmaz, but of course when it came time to some repairs done, I shopped around. Not only did I find that Volmaz had the best prices, I found it to have wonderful customer service. I always get answers to my questions in language I can (sort of) understand and I'm always confident that the mechanics there have my car and my best interest in mind. It also helps that Volmaz is about a mile from where I live. I won't trust my old volvo to anyone else.

I moved to Decatur about 4 years ago with my 2000 BMW. When it needed service, I took it Volmaz after I happened to see their sign on Church Street (I do realize that this is not a smart way to choose an auto service shop.). I was immediately impressed with their professional and competent service, but for a newcomer to the area, I have been even more impressed with the friendly, personal attention I received from everyone there, from the receptionist to the mechanic who drove me back to my house, to the managers - some of the nicest people I have ever met. For a single woman, who knows very little about cars, it means a LOT to have a place I can take my car with full confidence that I will be treated fairly and honestly. I highly recommend Volmaz!. . . . Mary in Decatur

After taking my car to half a dozen auto repair shops in Atlanta/Decatur, I've settled on Volmaz as my favorite. Volmaz takes pride in being professional and courteous. They're located in a strip mall and you never seem to see a garage. You enter a storefront that feels like a dentist's waiting room and someone will come out and go over your car's problems with you. They really listen when you describe your car's ills, which is so important. I've never seen anything that makes me doubt their honesty and they've always done good work, always fixing the problem the first time. They charge a bit more than other mechanics at $75/hour for labor, but that's probably cheaper than my last mechanic who charged $60/hour and always made up for it by taking twice as long to fix anything. They work on Volvos, Mazdas, BMWs, and Mercedes.
